About Drew
There’s a family on the other side of every transaction.
I didn’t start out in mortgages. I earned my master’s degree in occupational therapy and spent five years in healthcare, including work in the ICU and burn unit of a Level I trauma hospital. I was there through the pandemic.
After five years, especially through the pandemic, I was burned out. My brother, a real estate agent, told me something that stuck: just because you went to school for something doesn’t mean you have to stay in it.

Learning the business from the inside
I started in mortgage lending as a loan officer assistant. From there I moved into production and operations management, overseeing roughly $250 million in annual mortgage production in operations.
Operations showed me what makes a loan go smoothly and what makes one fall apart. Most problems can be spotted early if someone is looking for them.
Why I moved into origination
My wife and kids are a big part of why I made the move from operations into origination. I wanted to be more present for them, and I wanted to help people directly instead of from behind the scenes.
What healthcare taught me
In the hospital I learned to stay calm when things are tense, to explain overwhelming information in plain language and to remember the person in front of me. Buying a home is a big, stressful decision, and those lessons apply every day.
There’s a family on the other side of every transaction, and I never want to lose sight of that.
Rooted in Sylvania
We chose Sylvania on purpose. It’s where we wanted to raise our family and invest in our community, through the Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce and our church.
When timing matters
Sometimes, two weeks matters.
Speed backed by preparation.
A faster closing can strengthen your offer or solve a difficult moving timeline. For qualified transactions, closing in as little as two weeks may be possible.
But speed shouldn’t come at the expense of preparation. My operations background taught me that the best way to close quickly is to identify potential problems before they become problems.
Closing timelines vary based on borrower, property and transaction circumstances.
Proud to call Northwest Ohio home
There’s a lot to love about living here.
Northwest Ohio gives you something that’s getting harder to find: communities with their own identity, plenty to do and a cost of living that still makes homeownership feel attainable.
I love the Metroparks, the seasons, the riverfront, Mud Hens baseball and Walleye hockey. I love that every community seems to have its own downtown and small-town character.
And I love how easy it is to get somewhere else when you want to, without spending your everyday life sitting in traffic.
It’s a great place to build a life, raise a family and call home.

Community
More than where I work.
I believe being part of a community means participating in it.
